Awarded by the Department of Energy (DOE) with the most service contracts. More than being a developer, SUWECO recognizes and affirms its responsibility in environmental protection and its role as a catalyst for institution of econonomic activities in its project areas, majority of which are in far-flung and non-energized regions of the country.

Presently, SUWECO has two (2) operational Mini-Hydropower plants, located in the Province of Catanduanes:

  • Capacity: 1.5 MW

These plants make the area one of the few in the world to be almost 100% dependent on renewable energy for its power needs, thus making Catanduanes the first Green Province in the country.
